The naming of Orange Creek was submitted by myself to the GNIS, after the discovery that the first locomotive used on the Buffalo, Bradford, & Pittsburgh Railroad was the Number 4, nicknamed the “Orange”.
The “Arch Bridge” may be named the Confederate Arch Bridge, someday.
The Orange has a wonderful history on the different rail lines of the Erie.

William Norris, founder of the Norris Locomotive Works in Philadelphia, was born in Baltimore,

Maryland, on July 2, 1802, and died in Philadelphia on January 5, 1867. His company built the "Orange."
